Fake bruises- Practice.We practiced fake bruises because the opening scene will start directly in the attic where Laura is tied to a chair so the audience doesn't know what actually happened to her before that. The bruises are all over her body which will be seen through close-ups which shows that she is being kept with lots of violence involved.
These bruises are one of our first tries and certainly not perfect. They are done by Ellen Cartwright with the assistance of me:)
Lots of people were volunteering to let us do bruises on their hands, faces and feet which gave us lots of opportunity to practice and therefore will benefit us for our final "painting".
I have also shown the photos to independent people without saying anything and they believed it was real, which is a very important issue that it's as close to reality as possible.
